I can’t believe it has been over a year since Julie and Joe first contacted me to shoot their wedding! It has been a great process getting to know them. It was sunny skies and fairly mild even though we were dealing with snow and ice just days before. (I do think it would be cool to shoot a wedding in the snow.) The historic Carolina Inn was an amazing backdrop for the getting ready shots and reception. All of that really cool blue lighting in the reception shots is from strips of super bright LEDs provided by Fivestar-Entertainment. Shooting at a great venue is always inspiring. A huge thanks goes to Devon at the Carolina Inn for the hospitality at our pre-wedding meeting and during the reception.

I had a great time photographing the Ibrahim family in downtown Raleigh this past fall. With all the recent snow and ice it seems like forever ago we could be comfortable outside in just long sleeves! Here are a few of my favorites.

I have had this post for a while but with the whirlwind of activity around the house I haven’t had a chance to get it up. We have family visiting from Japan (my brother-in-law is in the Airforce) and the cousins have spent almost every moment together since they got here. It’s been good though and surprisingly we have only had a few minor meltdowns. :)
Sarah and Ryan had an amazing wedding at the Rand-Bryan House right down the road from me in Garner. An outdoor wedding in late November? Yep, and it was great! Check out some of my favorites below.
