Whoa! It’s been a while since I have posted anything! I guess it’s that time of year. The Holland family was celebrating the baptism of their newest addition and asked me to hang out and get some cool shots. Turns out I used to work for/with several of their family members which made it super easy to blend right in and get some nice candid shots. Check out a few of my favorites below.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a couple of dudes full of character. JD and Alfred are a big part of Freedom Biker Church of Fayeteville and have awesome testimonies. The chilly evening weather and rolling clouds didn’t stop us and actually made for some great shots. Check ’em out below.

The photos below are from a shoot I did with my brother-in-law Teddy, with his ’67 Camaro. Nope, it’s not street legal but it will burn up the 1/8 mile in just over 6 seconds. He’s working on getting it below 6. This is something that I have been thinking about shooting for a while now and finally got out and got it done. His garage couldn’t have been a better backdrop for the look I was going for. Check back soon for some cool shots of some dudes and their bikes.
Also, in case you didn’t notice I have a new logo! I have been wanting something a little more than plain text but have had the hardest time coming up with something by myself. I finally decided I needed help and turned to a graphic designer that used to work with my wife. Sometimes you just need to get someone else’s perspective on things. A huge thanks to Christy from CB creative for helping me out.

On my way to Grant and Erica’s engagement session I was kindly reminded of the speed limit coming in to downtown Raleigh on Peace St. I promise I was in the process of slowing down as the speed limit changed from 45 to 35! I even noticed him sitting on the side of the road and thought, “I better slow down.” Apparently I didn’t do it soon enough because he pulled in right behind me and on came the lights. It’s been a while but I’m no stranger to tickets. Thankfully, (oh so thankfully) he let me go with only a verbal warning! I still made it to the shoot on time and got some great shots of Grant and Erica. It’s nice getting to shoot a great couple and having time to hit some different spots during the session. Here are some of my favorites.

As a kid growing up in Garner, NC we often drove by the Christmas tree farm that sits on a hill overlooking highway 50. There is a beautiful old house that sits up on the hill as well and I always thought it would be so cool to live there and play in the fields of trees. They have turned the house and grounds into an amazing event, wedding and reception venue called The Rand-Bryan House. I recently had the opportunity to work on some portfolio bridal shots in the house and on the grounds. A big thanks to my lovely wife Jatana for master minding the whole thing (I just took pictures), Samantha, Alex, and Shelia (modeling and makeup) and Carolina Bridal World in Smithfield for the awesome dress and veil. And a big thanks to Martha and The Rand-Bryan House for the opportunity to shoot at a great venue in my home town.
