Oh yes he did.

Whenever Andrew gets quiet while playing in the bedrooms we know something is up.  Jatana went to check on him only to find him in Luke’s room trying to make a snow angel in a big pile of “snow” that he dumped out of a small bean bag. That’s right, a “small” bean bag.  My sister and her family have a giant bean bag that I don’t even want to think about splitting open.  Clean up was a three step process.  I scooped up as much as I could with a dust pan.  Then I broke out the shop vac to get the majority of what was left.  I finished it off with the Dyson (awesome vacuum by the way).  The static electricity made it even harder to clean up.  As I was scooping with the dust pan little balls were popping all over the place.  Ahhh the joy.  :)

Snow Days!

We have been enjoying the recent snowfall!  I love it when it’s coming down and everything is white but as soon as the roads start clearing up a bit and the grass starts poking through I’m over it.  We had fun while it lasted.  We even ventured out to my brother-in-law’s on Sunday to have some good family time.  4 wheel drive sure is nice.

Shaggy and Scooby Doo

It seems like I’m always late getting my own photos on here!  Now that it’s almost Thanksgiving I wanted to post a couple of shots of the boys in their Halloween costumes.  Both were super easy and cheap to create and turned out great!  At least I think so.  : )  Luke would say, “Scooby Doo where are you?” and Andrew would answer in his best Scooby voice, “over here”.  We had a great time at our church’s fall festival and then made our way over to Jatana’s home church for more fun and games.

Warning!

If spiders make you squirm then don’t go any farther!  The boys came running in to my room saying, “Daddy you have got to see this!”  They took me out to the front porch to find this.  It’s a momma wolf spider with tiny little babies all over her back!  I’ve seen this before but they thought this was the coolest thing.  Imagine being on your belly in a tight crawl space and seeing one bigger than this on the interior foundation wall (minus the babies).  Been there.  More than once.  Earlier this summer I counted six of these things on our front porch at night.  They hang out under the lights and catch the poor unfortunate bugs that fall down from flying around the lights.  Luke decided to get some shots too.

On a side note, Luke is holding a plastic bag containing a fungus called “elegant stinkhorn.”  We found it growing in the yard (I’ve seen this before too) and of course he wanted to keep it.  It lived up to its name though and we had to promptly throw it away due to it smelling through the sealed bag!  I love having boys.  : )
