This year’s Capital City Bike Fest was a wash out but people still showed up and had a great time! While the weather was bad outside there was plenty to see and do in the convention center. This is always fun for me to shoot. Here are some of my favorite photos from the really long weekend.

Operation: Coming Home is an organization that helps a local military service member that has been severely wounded in combat realize their dream of owning a new home. Often times these homes are customized to meet the wounded soldier’s specific needs to make everyday life a little easier. I had the opportunity to cover the ground breaking and key ceremony for US Army SSG Ollie Hughes and M/I Homes. The keys were “dropped in” by the All Veteran Parachute Team!

Andrew started kindergarten yesterday… sort of . It was his first day of staggered entry. He is so ready and excited. It was much harder on his mommy. :) I can’t believe we have one in 4th grade and kindergarten. It really does go by fast!
