I recently had the opportunity to hang out and shoot a few photos of Courtney, Laura and their one month old, Gavin. I met Courtney and Laura a few years ago and have shot a bunch of weddings and various other things with Courtney since then. Being a photographer he already had a ton of shots with Laura and Gavin but not so many of the entire family. Just check out his blog. Every post on there right now with the exception of one is about Gavin. He’s not a happy dad at all. :) While I was over having lunch and talking shop we took time out to get a few. The light in their room was amazing! The shots below are all natural light.

Back when it snowed, my neighbors asked to do a family session actually in the snow. We didn’t travel far – just to some barns that are pretty much in our backyard. Man it was cold! It’s hard to wear gloves and still play with all the buttons and dials on the camera. The kids even took a break to warm up in the truck before doing a final group shot. We ended up with some cool shots and other than the frostbite, it was fun. :)

Check out some shots from a recent session with Paula and her family. She and my wife have been friends since 4th grade! This is photo techie but I am so digging the light fall off resulting in the nice gray tones on the white background!

Somehow way back in May I missed blogging about this. The photos below are from the National Day of Prayer event held on the State Capitol Lawn in Raleigh, NC. I thought they would serve as a reminder for everyone to pray for the victims as well as the aid/rescue workers in Haiti.
