Ride for the Red

This past weekend I had the opportunity to cover the Ride for the Red event put on by the American Red Cross.  The event started at Ray Price Harley Davidson in Raleigh and ended at Locked and Loaded in Garner.  Even though it was hot (Tarzan hot!) they had their most successful year to date with 69 bikes participating. I was happy to be a part of it. Check out some of my favorites below.

Morgan & Mike

Due to a few technical issues it’s been a while since I have been able to post anything. Hopefully everything has been resolved!

We had a great time shooting Morgan and Mike’s wedding at the Matthews House in Cary. A great venue makes my job easier! Somehow the typical North Carolina afternoon thunderstorms spared us and actually provided us with some amazing afternoon light. I love shooting a wedding that ends with a fun reception. DJ Mike Morse provided the non-stop music and judging by the photos I’m pretty sure they had a good time!

Erica and Grant

I have been excited to shoot Erica and Grant’s wedding since I shot their engagement session. Combine a great looking couple with some great venues from getting ready to reception and you can’t miss.  They also opted to see each other for photos before the ceremony. This is a personal decision for everyone but after the ceremony we were done with family photos and at the reception in less than thirty minutes! Most people opt for the more traditional route but it’s something to think about! A special thanks to Lauren of North Hills Club and Taylor Pittman of Taylor Made DJ Services for their hospitality at the reception! Check out a few of my favorites from the day. Melinda and Billy

I’ve had this post ready for a while but have been crazy busy lately shooting 4 weddings in two weeks! The photos below are a few of my favorites from Melinda and Billy’s wedding. It was nice to shoot another outdoor wedding. There’s always more freedom to move around without disturbing the ceremony.

Jennifer and Brandon

We almost had to reschedule this one. This was one of those days where the sun was in and out of rain clouds all day long. Thankfully the rain held off until we finished. Literally. The bottom fell out after I drove Jennifer and Brandon back to their car. The session turned out great though and I got to try out a few new locations that I’ve had my eye on for a while.
