I can’t believe another open house has come and gone! It seems like yesterday we were dealing with torrential rain and tornados. Some of the businesses along South Saunders are still dealing with the effects of that storm. Slowly but surely things have been getting back to normal. I was amazed at how fast the street filled with bikes! Here are a few of my favorite photos from the event.

These are a few of my favorites from the AHDRA Jim McClure Nitro Nationals at Rockingham Dragway last October. These things are crazy loud and crazy fast… so fast that the top fuel bikes are pretty much riding on one wheel the entire race. The rider steers by shifting his body from side to side. They also wear bullet proof vests in case the motor blows up. Yep, crazy dangerous.

The first open house was on April 16th 2011 which was the day that tornados ripped through downtown Raleigh and various other areas of NC. The band and bike show were rescheduled and fortunately things had wrapped up with most of the people leaving before a tornado moved right past the Ray Price Harley Davidson building. I ended up leaving about 30 minutes before everything hit. The dealership only suffered minor damage while buildings right down the same street were not so fortunate.
The second go around was a completely different story with warm weather, blue skies and a bunch of bikes! Hank Williams Jr. tribute band, All My Rowdy Friends, played while people checked out the bike show and vendors. I posted those photos first so I could include the flag shot below in honor of Memorial Day. Check out some of my favorites below.
The photos below were taken just a few hours before tornados ripped through Raleigh.

I recently had the opportunity to do some really cool photos for the Freedom Biker Church in Angier. The photos below are a sampling from a few sessions in late 2010 and early 2011. Just fyi; the motion blur in the riding shots is real this time (unlike the mini cooper shots from last April). You may even see a few of these in some of their upcoming ads. I also had the chance to visit a worship rally or two as well. I think one of the best parts about their worship rally is the bell. Give them a visit to find out why.

It seems like a distant memory now but we had a blast at the 2010 Capital City Bike Fest! I can’t even remember how many times I walked up and down Fayetteville St. shooting photos. Vans shoes may be great for gripping BMX pedals but they are not made for walking! We were exhausted on Sunday. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to check us out and a big thanks to Mike who helped us set up and tear down!
One of my favorite opportunities of the weekend was participating in the Patriot Ride on Friday. I got to ride in the limo with two combat wounded vets and shoot pictures of the long line of bikes through the limo sunroof! Very cool. Check out a few of my favorites from the weekend below.
