It has been a while since my last post but that’s because things have been busy (and that’s a good thing). I have several things to post about. I just have to get to them! Below are a few of my favorites from an engagement session I did in the fall. I can’t believe it’s already time for their wedding next week. It’s going to be good!
Here are a few examples of some recent headshots from a couple of very cool locations in Fuquay-Varina. I wish I could take the wood door home with me. Click on them to see it big.
You may or may not know that I shoot real estate and architecture photography as well. There is a lot of set up that goes into getting shots like the ones below. There are a minimum of two off camera flashes used in the interior photos and sometimes up to six. It all depends on how big the room is and how many rooms are visible in the background that need to be lit. To get the exterior photos below I really just had to be there at the right time. That means being there at sunrise or sunset depending on which direction the house is facing. Some of them needed a little extra help so I included a before photoshop and after photoshop for you to check out what went into getting the final product. There might be a few “secret” techniques in there too. :) As always click on the photo to see it big.
Instant grass. Ideally you want to wait until the yard is finished but we had to get this one done. Notice the distracting car in the bottom left has been removed as well.
More yard improvement here too. Notice the dirty street has been removed and the far right side yard by the garage has been cleaned up as well.
These are a few of my favorites from the AHDRA Jim McClure Nitro Nationals at Rockingham Dragway last October. These things are crazy loud and crazy fast… so fast that the top fuel bikes are pretty much riding on one wheel the entire race. The rider steers by shifting his body from side to side. They also wear bullet proof vests in case the motor blows up. Yep, crazy dangerous.
So far the fall and winter have been amazingly warm but right now it is freezing outside! Here are a few of my favorites from a child portrait session I did when it was a much warmer day. These two made it easy!
