Engagement Photography!
Kate and Tyler got engaged at Duke Gardens so I was excited when they said they wanted to shoot their engagement photos there. I have shot a couple of weddings there but have never really been able to explore the area. It was nice to walk around shooting without the stress of getting back to the reception! Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement session.
Kid Portraits!
Finally some portraits of the boys! You would think we would do this more often but the truth is we don’t. It seems to be easier on them when someone other than dad is taking the pictures but they actually seemed to enjoy it this time (most of the time). The Wolverine shot is a result of Andrew goofing around for a few of the photos. He wasn’t trying to be Wolverine but when I got it on the computer I realized how perfect it was for some claws. He loves super heroes and got a real kick out of seeing it for the first time.
It’s a little late but I wanted to get our Christmas card on here anyway. I’m already thinking about the next one. I hope everyone had a merry Christmas! Happy new year!
Meghan and Jake!
Meghan and Jake were married right down the road from my house at Gregory Vineyards! There are a bunch of nice things about this place but one that photographers can really appreciate is the giant window in the room where the girls are getting ready. All of that beautiful natural light makes me smile. Check out some of my favorites below! Click on an image to see it bigger.
